day 26: the tour, the experiment, the pathway, and the skink

It has been brought to my attention that the photos here don’t often offer an idea of where in our garden the work is happening. So, I made a video walk-through of our side yard and lot.

The disclaimer: this is as-is. Many projects are underway, not everything is social-media-ready.

“Don’t let perfect get in the way of better!”

I hope this helps with understanding the layout of our garden.

We no longer have enough sunny indoor space, and the current cold spell is setting back my seedlings. So, this is my experiment. Each tray of pots sits in a reservoir of water, so hopefully I won’t have to open it every day.

The far pathway is essentially finished. (Although there is still a spot left to plant.) There is a lot of work left to do, but finishing this path completes the entire far corner of the lower lot. It’s starting to look more like a complete thought instead of clumps and pieces. This makes me happy.

And it seems that a day in the garden isn’t complete without a skink sighting. (My husband spotted an adult up near the screen porch as well.)
