We never got the rain expected yesterday, but this morning brought a long, slow drizzle followed by a brief heavy shower. The garden ended up lush and in full bloom as a result. the ‘nosferatu’ daylilies are at their peak

I took a stroll through the lower garden this morning, which means: the spiderwort was open… The dots of blue gives great color contrast against all the warm colored blooms. Other things are taking off as well:
