Our Christmas trees aren’t started yet, which is the latest of the seven holiday seasons we’ve had in this house. It’s not a problem, and mostly by choice, but here we are.
Plotting and planning have been moving forward, though, and my excitement to start is building daily.
I have reconceived ST:TCT, but I’m waiting for photos of the completed tree before revealing specifics. I will share one sneak-peak:
Star Trek: The Tree Skirt
I finally procured the fabric, which arrived today: vintage ST:TOS printed cotton quilting.
Since we have numerous large Hallmark Star Trek pieces that get tucked in under the tree, I’ll make the skirt as large as possible so the print details aren’t wholly lost.
For embellishment, it occurred to me that ric rac is essentially TOS rank braids, so two spools are on their way!
Previously, I’ve used random fabric pieces as impromptu skirts. I’m excited to finally have a tree skirt worthy of our Trekkie tree.
