today, in the garden:

Spring blooms have peaked and moved on.

Join me on a stroll through our cattywampus garden to see what Early Summer has coaxed forth:

The clematis is astonishing.

st. francis is enrobed in lush clematis

The peonies are underway:

one bank of two has begun to open

The bearded iris have begun their display:

some are kissed with the scent of grape soda

Moving on into the garden:

our sad little rose bush is entering its brief annual beauty phase

year six of our coreopsis gradually rolling down the incline of our side yard

pink dianthus sparks color in a small herb bed

sweet basil settles into one of our new grow bags
potatoes have broken ground
early preparations are underway for Lilyfest ’23
