this morning in the garden

I took a stroll through the lower garden this morning, which means: the spiderwort was open…

The dots of blue gives great color contrast against all the warm colored blooms.

Other things are taking off as well:

the lower patch of white yarrow is finally in the sun all day and is exploding with blossoms
more lilium tiny diamonds have opened
lilium tiny padhye is the last lily in the open garden to bloom. there are less each year, but the color combination is one of my favorites
tiger’s lilies (sunny robyn) are setting their buds and look to be planning quite a show
our first year blackberries have set some blooms and fruit
blazing star liatris breaking ground, newly planted this spring
